The Baldt Anchor is a type of stockless anchor made from durable ZG200-400 steel. Its surface is treated with black tarred painting or H.D.G. With a weight range spanning from 20 kg to 20,000 kg, this anchor boasts two large flukes that work in unison to anchor ships securely in sand or mud bottoms.

Renowned for its high holding power and exceptional stability, the baldt anchor is widely utilized as a bower anchor in various merchant ships. Its reliability and performance make it a preferred choice for ship owners, both large and small. The absence of a stock makes it highly convenient for handling. After lifting, the anchor can be stored directly, saving valuable space on the ship. In soft mud bottoms, the holding weight ratio of common stockless anchors is typically around 3, while in sandy bottoms, it can reach 5-7, with a maximum usually not exceeding 8. Although the holding power is slightly smaller than that of stock anchors, it can be compensated by increasing the weight of the anchor.
